Day by Day

DAY 1: Cuenca

Arrival in Cuenca and transfer to the selected hotel, check in, leave your luggage and start with the visit to the city of Cuenca.

Cuenca scenic excursion (half day)

Cuenca has preserved its rich colonial past, beautifully shown on its narrow streets, white houses with flower-pot balconies, impressive churches, with their majestic domes and towers. This is a walking tour in the Colonial area of Cuenca to discover the beautiful churches and house facades; to visit a some of the artisan centers where there is the opportunity to learn about the ceramic, the famous straw hats also called ¨Panama hat¨, gold and silver jewelry and embroidery which are some of the handicrafts for which Cuenca is also known.

DAY 2: At leisure

Cuenca is also known for its wide variety of handicrafts such as: Gold and Silver jewelry, exquisite ornaments made of ceramics, beautiful toquilla straw hats, also called ¨Panama hats¨, garments made using ancestral techniques such as Ikat and much more…. Enjoy the day by visiting the artisan workshops located in the city or in the nearby valleys.

DAY 3: Cuenca

Transfer from the hotel to the airport to take the flight to your next destination. You could also take an overland transfer from Cuenca to Guayaquil, this trip brings with the opportunity to observe the change of climate, flora, fauna and panoramic views between the Andes and the Coast.
