On the way from Riobamba to Cuenca, there will be a stop in Colta to visit the Balbanera Church, the first church built in Ecuador. Towards the end of the morning arrive at the Inca Fortress of Ingapirca, the most important Inca remains in Ecuador. The Ingapirca complex lies at 3,200 m.a.s.l. and its most important construction is The Temple of the Sun, built according to Inca beliefs.
