Day by Day

DAY 1: Quito - Arrival transfer

Assistance and transfer from the airport to the selected hotel. (Distance between Quito airport and the city approximately 45 minutes).

DAY 2: Quito Colonial and the Intiñan Museum in the Middle of the World

This sightseeing excursion offers the best of Quito with its rich cultural legacy, ornate facades, and dazzling gilt altars. Quito’s Historical Center, the largest and best preserved in Latin America The visit will take you to iconic places such as the Plaza Grande or Independence Square to have a view of important colonial buildings: The Archbishop’s Palace, The Metropolitan Cathedral, The Government Palace, as well as other representative examples of colonial art and architecture as the Santo Domingo Convent. After visiting the old colonial Quito, a short trip to the north of the city of Quito will lead us to our planet's Latitude 0´0´0´. Here will visit the Intiñan museum known as well as “The trek of Sun”. Mixed with didactic games where the physic laws show us the unique events that happen at the middle of the world. This is the place where you can stand with one foot on the northern hemisphere and the other one on the southern hemisphere…a unique experience….

DAY 3: Quito - Papallacta - Misahuallí

Early in the morning departure from Quito to Papallacta, located to the west of the city, known for its thermal waters and health benefits. After this visit, we continue the journey to Misahualli in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The trip offers incredible landscapes in the descent from the Andes towards La Amazonia, panoramic of an extensive forest that lodges many species of birds, ants, butterflies and other species of the place. Upon arrival at Misahualli, check-in at the selected lodge in a lodge to continue with the afternoon activities.

DAY 4: In Misahuallí

Start the day walking through paths of primary and secondary forests, you can observe different species of birds and insects, as well as a great variety of trees and medicinal plants. The guides explain how plants are used not only in medicine, but also in construction and in the midst of local activities. Along the way, there are several opportunities to join the adventure factor, with hanging bridges and tree vines to swing.

DAY 5: Misahuallí - Puyo - Baños

Early departure to travel direction to Puyo, a small town in the Amazon where there is the possibility to learn about the orchids as well as of observing how the inhabitants of these towns live then continue to Baños a town located in what is known as the entrance to the Amazon. Baños is surrounded by mountains and is known for the multiple waterfalls close by where you can enjoy the view as well as the nice subtropical climate.

DAY 6: Baños - Salasaca - Riobamba

Early departure from Baños to Riobamba, this route includes visits to: one of the water falls of the area ¨El Pailon del Diablo ¨, an acclimatization center where there is the opportunity to learn more about the highest mountain in Ecuador, the Chimborazo with 6268 meters above sea level which due to its location near the Middle of the World it is the furthest place from the center of the Earth. Finally before heading towards Riobamba will have the opportunity to visit the handicraft square of the Salasaca community. At the end of the day will arrive to Riobamba located in the center of the Andes.

DAY 7: Riobamba - Ingapirca - Cuenca

On this day the route offers beautiful panoramic views of the Andes with many opportunities to take pictures. On the way from Riobamba to Cuenca, there will be a stop in Colta to visit the Balbanera Church, the first church built in Ecuador. Towards the end of the morning arrive at the Inca Fortress of Ingapirca, the most important Inca remains in Ecuador. The Ingapirca complex lies at 3,200 m.a.s.l. and its most important construction is The Temple of the Sun, built according to Inca beliefs. Towards the end of the afternoon arrival in Cuenca called the Jewel of the Southern Andes that for its colonial wealth.

DAY 8: Cuenca scenic tour (half day)

Walk through its old neighborhoods, admire the colonial houses with their beautiful balconies full of flowers, and visit the centenary convents, monasteries and museums of this Patrimonial city. Cuenca is also renowned for its varied handicrafts and exquisite taste and quality: hand-embroidered dresses, charming ceramics, fine jewelry and the famous Straw Hats also known as Panama Hats are just some of the samples of ancestral ability from local artisans. DAY 9: Overland transfer from Cuenca to Guayaquil, Guayaquil city tour half day

Overland transfer from Cuenca to Guayaquil, this transfer gives you the opportunity to observe the transition in height, vegetation and climate between the Andes and the lowlands of the coast with a tropical climate. Upon arrival to Guayaquil check-inn at the selected hotel.

Guayaquil Scenic excursion

Visit a number of historical places by car like the Centenario, a neighborhood established in 1915, which counts many houses with historical heritage or to the picturesque Las Peñas neighborhood, full of brightly painted homes, cafes and cafes. Stroll along the Riverfront or Malecon, the Moorish Tower and the famous Caraguay Fish market (morning visits only).

DAY 10: Guayaquil - The Galápagos Island

Assistance and transfer in Guayaquil from the hotel to the airport to take the regular flight to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival in Galapagos and after complying with the procedures required by the Galapagos National Park , the program or cruise staff will provide the transfer.

DAY 10 to 14: Cruise or program in the Galapagos Islands

Their daily experiences can range from walks between colonies of blue-footed or red-footed boobies nesting or performing their nuptial courtship without fear of humans, or crossing hundreds of curious prehistoric-looking marine iguanas. Alternatively, maybe swimming or snorkeling among playful sea lions, curious penguins and hundreds of colorful fish or sea turtles can be unforgettable moments for the visitor. In Galapagos, every day is different and rich in new and fascinating experiences...

DAY 14: The Galapagos Islands - Guayaquil o Quito

Assistance and transfer from the selected program or cruise to the airport in the Galápagos Islands to take the flight back to mainland Ecuador. At the airport in Quito or Guayaquil assistance to connect with the international flight
